    We are currently looking for someone to join our Glen Cedars Team as a Coffee Shop / Banquet Server who is passionate about working in Customer Service and who holds themselves to superior standards regarding guest experience.

    Job Requirements:

    • Superior customer service skills

    • A positive attitude and ability to multi task
    • Works independently as well as in a team environment
    • Must be able to work a variety of shifts (early morning, afternoon, evenings) including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

    Responsibilities and Duties

    This versatile position Support the daily golf operation by assisting fellow staff members in all facets of our business. Acknowledge all golfers before and after their golf rounds.

    • Responsible for greeting customers and helping them navigate throughout the facility when asked
    • Manage the coffee shop, including receiving orders, serving customers, cleaning, opening and closing the till.
    • Responsible for serving and setting up food & beverage services for our client function
    • Prepare beverages in accordance with provincial liquor laws and Glen Cedars standards
    • Provide support to the kitchen staff for preparation as required.
    • Follow health and safety policies and procedures
    • Adhere to the employment policies and procedures as laid out in the golf course employment handbook
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Smart Serve Certification Required
    • Food Handler’s Certification or willingness to obtain an asset
    • 1 year of experience working in a Golf Club or banquet centre an asset
    • Previous experience using a till or register in a restaurant or banquet environment an asset
    • Post Secondary Education or working towards post secondary education an asset
    • Ability to follow and take direction from Supervisors/Managers

  • Back Shop / Cart Attendant

    We are currently looking for someone to join our Glen Cedars Golf Team as a Back Shop / Cart Attendant who is passionate about working in the Golf Industry and who holds themselves to superior standards regarding customer service, guest experience and providing exceptional quality of service.

    Job Requirements:

    • Self-Motivated, punctual and proactive
    • Superior customer service skills
    • Strong communication skills
    • Works independently as well as in a team environment
    • Must be able to work a variety of shifts (early morning, afternoon, evenings) including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

    Responsibilities and Duties

    This position supports the daily golf operation by assisting fellow staff members in all facets of our business.

    • Acknowledge all golfers before and after their golf rounds.
    • Responsible for ensuring the power and pull carts are in proper order.
    • Always be aware of the condition of the power carts. Report any Discrepancies.
    • Clean and wash the power carts. Ensure the bag straps are fastened when not in use.
    • Check the parking lot and area around the facility for pull and power carts as often as necessary.
    • Responsible for ensuring the spike cleaners and surrounding areas are clean.
    • Ensure the cart compound and outside areas of the building are clean and free of garbage/debris at all times.
    • Assist pro shop / inside maintenance staff on request.
    • Welcome all golfers and help them navigate throughout the facility when asked.
    • Follow health and safety policies and procedures
    • Adhere to the employment policies and procedures as laid out in the golf course employment handbook
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Basic understanding of the game of golf and related products an asset but not required
    • 1 year of experience working in a Golf Club an asset but not required
    • Good Physical Strength - Ability to stand/walk/bend/push/pull for extended periods of time.
    • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
    • Ability to follow and take direction from Supervisors/Managers

  • Pro Shop Attendant

    We are currently looking for someone to join our Glen Cedars Golf Team as a Proshop Attendant who is passionate about working in the Golf Industry and who holds themselves to superior standards regarding customer service, guest experience and providing exceptional quality of service.

    Job Requirements:

    • Works independently as well as a team environment
    • Must be able to work a variety of shifts (early morning, afternoon, evenings) including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

    Responsibilities and Duties

    This position is responsible for providing an exceptional guest experience through various points of contact, merchandising, pro shop retail sales, guest reception and overseeing golf services personnel.

    • Responsible for opening and closing of Pro Shop
    • Sell products, manage daily sales activities including reconciliations through the Point of Sale (POS) system
    • Restocking of Pro Shop products and supplies
    • Tracking of club rentals and demos
    • Stay up to date with new and changing information on all promotions and special events
    • Answering telephone and booking tee times as well as customer inquiries etc.
    • Assist with tournament organization (signage, scoring, registration etc.)
    • Maintaining a clean and professional work space/retail area including windows, dusting and vacuuming
    • Follow health and safety policies and procedures
    • Adhere to the employment policies and procedures as laid out in the golf course employment handbook
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor

    Qualifications and Skills

    • A basic understanding of the game of golf an asset but not required
    • Previous experience working in a ProShop an asset but not required
    • Post Secondary degree/diploma in Professional Golf Management (PGM), Sports Management, or related discipline an asset
    • Previous experience with a Point of Sale System an asset
    • Comfortable directing Golf Services personnel
    • Good Physical Strength - Ability to stand/walk/bend/push/pull for extended periods of time.
    • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
    • Ability to follow and take direction from Supervisors/Managers
